Maha Rasnadi Kashaya Choornam is composed from an expansive blend of classical herbs—Rasna (Pluchea lanceolata), Bala (Sida cordifolia), Devadaru (Cedrus deodara), Nagara (Zingiber officinale), Vacha (Acorus calamus), Chavya (Piper chaba), Musta (Cyperus rotundus), Punarnava, Guduchi, Ashwagandha, and others—based on formulations described in Sahasrayogam and Kerala Ayurvedic traditions. It is traditionally prescribed for managing Vata-related musculoskeletal conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, low back pain, sciatica, neuralgia, and post-viral aches. The formulation also supports strength, circulation, and detoxification, with antioxidant effects aiding kidney health. It may be co-administered with ginger, castor oil, rock salt, or long pepper depending on practitioner advice

Doses

Take 60 gm. powder, to this add 960 ml. of water and boil till it reduced to 120 ml. kasayam is prepared. 30 to 60 ml. kasayam before food twice a day or as directed by the physician.
