Elaneer Kuzhambu (also known as Narikela Anjana) is a time-honored formulation from Kerala’s Urdhwanga Roga tradition, combining tender coconut water with herbal decoctions of Darvi, Amla, Haritaki, Bibhitaki, Licorice, turmeric, and other supportive ingredients. Historically, it has been applied as an eye salve or drops to help cool Pitta-related eye discomfort, reduce dryness, and ease sensitivity to heat, smoke, or wind.It is also commonly used to support relief from mild conjunctival inflammation, burning sensations, and eye fatigue. As with all classical eye formulations, use under the supervision of a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner is advised to ensure proper application and avoid irritation.
