Description

Dasamoolam Kashaya Choornam is a revered Ayurvedic formulation combining the ten roots (Dashamoola): Laghu Panchamoola (Shalaparni, Prishniparni, Brihati, Kantakari, Gokshura) and Brihat Panchamoola (Bilva, Agnimantha, Shyonaka, Patala, Gambhari). It is prepared by boiling these coarsely powdered roots in water until reduced to a quarter and then filtered for use as a fresh decoction. This decoction is valued for its anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antispasmodic, adaptogenic, antioxidant, and neuroprotective properties. It is commonly used in conditions such as low back pain, sciatica, facial palsy, muscle spasms, osteoarthritis, respiratory discomfort, fatigue, and digestive bloating.

Indications

Svasa (Asthma), Kasa (Cough), Parsvasula (Delivery Pain), Hrdsuala (Heart diseases).

Doses

Take 60 gm. powder, to this add 960 ml. of water and boil till it reduced to 120 ml. kasayam is prepared. 30 to 60 ml. kasayam before food twice a day or as directed by the physician.
