Propose new formulation ideas based on therapeutic needs or market trends. Develop various dosage forms such as tablets, capsules, syrups, ointments, granules etc. Optimize herbal combinations for synergy, stability, bioavailability, and efficacy. Select suitable excipients and carriers. Perform formulation trials and refine based on results.

Design and conduct stability studies as per ICH or AYUSH guidelines. Assess packaging compatibility and shelf-life of formulations. Coordinate or perform preclinical studies (toxicity, pharmacology). Assist in designing clinical trial protocols and collaborating with CROs or clinicians. Analyse and interpret pharmacological data. Prepare documentation for regulatory submissions (AYUSH). Ensure compliance with applicable national and international regulations. Prepare product dossiers, technical files, and safety data sheets (SDS).

Works with botanists, chemists, toxicologists, clinicians and production teams. Coordination with marketing and regulatory affairs for product positioning and claims. Assist manufacturing teams during scale-up and technology transfer. Contribute to the filing of patents or proprietary formulation claims. Keep updated with new technologies and global research trends in herbal science.
